Vegetarian pet food

Vast numbers of animal lives could be saved if vegetarian companion animal guardians were to feed their animals vegetarian diets. Most do not out of fear of adverse health consequences, and ignorance of how these might be avoided. In 2004 I created www.VegePets.info to give vegetarian companion animal guardians the information they need.


Animals in education

Students are the most motivated and, frequently, the most powerful advocates of humane alternatives to the harmful use of animals in education. In 2004 I created www.LearningWithoutKilling.info to give them easy access to the resources they most need to maximize their chances of success when running humane education campaigns. In 2006 I created www.HumaneLearning.info to provide educators and students with over 250 studies of humane alternatives to harmful animal use in education and other key resources.


Animal experimentation

Animal experiments have long been the subject of controversy. Although many claims have been made either way, until recently large-scale scientific studies of their efficacy in advancing human health have been rare. Since 2004, however, several such studies have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and presented at international scientific conferences, at which some have received awards. The results have been remarkably consistent: the stress laboratory animals experience is greater than commonly understood, and experiments on them contribute far less to the advancement of human medical progress than advocates often claim. The abstracts and, usually, complete texts of these published studies, as well as published reviews of non-animal experimental models, and relevant governmental reports, are freely downloadable from www.AnimalExperiments.info.


International skill-sharing

Inspired by a desire to facilitate international skill-sharing and thereby assist the animal protection movement worldwide become more effective and professional, in 2004 I founded Animal Consultants International to link people with specialized knowledge, experience, skills or qualifications with animal protection campaigns around the world, for the benefit of all.

In 2005 with the invaluable assistance of Dr Eva Berriman of Animal Consultants International, I created www.NewspaperContacts.info, to assist the global peace movement generally (animal rights, environmental, human rights, left wing and related movements) in becoming more effective at targeting the media. www.NewspaperContacts.info provides letter to the editor and opinion editorial contact details for the leading newspapers in major regions of the world, along with newspaper rankings and circulation figures. Useful links are provided to other major media links websites, covering all regions of the world, as is advice on maximizing publication chances.
